The Gap Year's Next Book: Mary Shelley's Frankenstein
Hey everyone,
First, I just wanna say thanks to all who have participated thus far for being a part of The Gap Year. You are all the reason this experiment has been a success. Every time we get together is an encouragement and a joy to Jen and me.
At the last meeting, Holly suggested we read something written by a woman. Coupled with the fact that autumn and Halloween season are upon us, there seemed to be a good consensus that Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein would be the perfect title to read next.
I grabbed the Penguin Classics edition, which you can find here. It’s based on the text of 1831.
While we haven’t settled on a date yet, right now we’re looking at meeting to discuss the book in early November. We’ll be sending out a survey with some dates soon.
Thank you all again for being a part of this. We’re excited for what’s to come.
Much love,
Robbie
