Save the Date! — The Gap Year: The Persian Letters

Hi friends,

Hope you all had a good Thanksgiving. I’m excited to announce that our next meeting of The Gap Year will convene at 6:30pm on Friday, January 27, 2023. We’ll be discussing Montesquieu’s epistolary novel, the Persian Letters. We recommend reading the Oxford edition (available here).

Our friend, Danielle Charette, Ph.D., has kindly agreed to be our resident expert and lead our discussion. She’ll also curate a selection of letters from the book for us to focus on, so those with limited time for reading can still participate in the conversation. Be on the lookout for another email with a list in the coming weeks.
