Save the date! The Gap Year — Cosmic Horror Edition

Hey everyone! Thanks to everyone who came out for our listening party Friday night — after multiple conversations, it sounds like great times were had by all. And a special thank you to Alex, Shannon, and James, whose passion for and knowledge of music made the night possible.

As I mentioned on Friday, for our next meeting we’ll be discussing two H.P. Lovecraft stories — “The Call of Cthulhu” and “The Dunwich Horror”. Neither story is very long; in my Library of America edition, they run 30 and 45 pages, respectively. All of Lovecraft’s writing is in the public domain and available for free online. Standard Ebooks publishes a nice edition here. Collections from various publishers are available, including Penguin. Doesn’t really matter which copy you pick up, as long as you can read both of those stories.

We will meet on Friday, October 21, at 6PM to discuss these eldritch tales. Details about food forthcoming. See you then!
