[RSVP] Beowulf: September 4th
Hey everyone!
We’ve chosen a date for our Beowulf: A New Translation dinner-bookclub discussion. It seems that the date that works best for everyone is September 4th. If anything has changed for you, or if you have conflict please reach out to us asap!
It’s a busy time of year with many in the academic world returning to work, so we know it’s a big ask for you to use your weekend to discuss a book. We’re keeping that in mind as we think about our discussion for that night.
We still ask that you try and read the book in it’s entirety, if at all possible. It’s a very quick and wonderfully entertaining read, so I hope it won’t be a problem.
A quick housekeeping note, if you no longer wish to receive these emails because you’ve moved, or because you’re no longer interested, please do not feel bad about unsubscribing from The Gap Year Substack! Attention is a highly valuable and finite resource, please use yours as best fits you!
I am looking forward to hearing everyones thoughts and opinions on this delightful and historic heroic poem. (Try saying that 5 times fast!) See you Saturday September 4th at around 6pm.
Skål!
