Lovecraft Cosmic Horror Night | The Gap Year
“The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far.”
Hi Friends, if you’re like me you’ll be shocked to learn that the Gap Year is happening this Friday!
As Robbie previously mentioned, we’ll be discussing two H.P. Lovecraft stories — “The Call of Cthulhu” and “The Dunwich Horror”. Both are short enough for you to read this week; they run 30 and 45 pages, respectively. All of Lovecraft’s writing is in the public domain and available for free online. Standard Ebooks publishes a nice edition here. Doesn’t really matter which copy you pick up, as long as you can read both of those stories.
Please RSVP ASAP by responding to this email. I will let those attending know about food.
Au Revoir,
Jen
